Deb Haaland Holds Strong Lead in New Mexico Governor’s Race, New Poll Shows

A newly released poll shows Deb Haaland maintaining a commanding lead in the race for governor of New Mexico, reinforcing her position as the frontrunner in the primary contest.

According to the latest polling data, Haaland continues to outperform her opponents by double-digit margins. The results align with previous public polls, all of which have shown her consistently ahead. Meanwhile, her leading opponent has struggled to gain traction despite more than a year of campaigning and spending that exceeds the campaign’s fundraising.

“Deb Haaland’s vision to make life more affordable, help our kids read earlier, fix our broken healthcare system, and fight the Trump administration’s dangerous agenda sets her apart from her opponent. In contrast, her opponent’s plateaued numbers reflect his MAGA funded media campaign of falsehoods and failure to communicate a coherent vision for New Mexico. Deb has led in every poll by double digits and maintains a 5-1 cash advantage. By every metric, this race is over,” said Campaign Manager Dylan McArthur.

Haaland brings extensive legislative and executive experience to the race. During her time in Congress, five of her bills were signed into law by Donald Trump. As Secretary of the Interior, she managed an $18 billion budget and oversaw more than 70,000 employees.

Her campaign has emphasized direct engagement with voters. Haaland has visited all 33 counties across New Mexico, meeting with residents to better understand their priorities. Those conversations have helped shape her policy agenda, which focuses on lowering costs, improving public education, strengthening public safety, expanding access to healthcare, and pushing back against federal policies she opposes.

With strong polling numbers, financial advantages, and a statewide campaign presence, Haaland’s candidacy continues to gain momentum as the race for New Mexico governor unfolds.
