Hackers Compromise Native News Online Facebook Page Again

From the Publisher

I am writing to inform our readers that the Native News Online Facebook page was hacked at approximately 8:06 a.m. today.

This marks the third time our Facebook page has been compromised. We had implemented security measures to prevent such incidents; however, the attackers proved more sophisticated than anticipated.

The content currently being posted is entirely inconsistent with the mission and values of Native News Online. While we are not responsible for these posts, I sincerely apologize to our readers for being exposed to material that does not reflect our standards. We remain committed to publishing accurate, informative journalism that supports the well-being of Indigenous peoples, and this incident stands in direct opposition to that mission.

We encourage readers to report the compromised page to Facebook. Our team is working diligently to regain full control of the account as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience and continued support.
