Native Vote 2026
The U.S. Senate campaign of former U.S. Representative Mary Peltola (Yup’ik) on Tuesday unveiled a new television advertisement highlighting her record of supporting veterans, servicemembers, and military families across Alaska.
The 30-second ad, titled “Military Mom,” emphasizes Peltola’s personal connection to military service as the mother of two members of the U.S. Coast Guard and underscores her commitment to advocating for military families and veterans.
The advertisement will air statewide on television, connected TV (CTV), and digital platforms.
In the ad, Peltola points to her work in Congress supporting servicemembers and veterans, including efforts to secure the largest military pay raise in decades, increase funding for veterans’ healthcare, and bring hundreds of millions of dollars in federal investments to Alaska’s military installations.
“There is nobody more dedicated to our veterans and military families than a military mom,” Peltola says in the advertisement.
Campaign officials said the ad is designed to highlight Peltola’s bipartisan record and contrast her approach with that of incumbent U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), whom she hopes to unseat in the 2026 election.
“As the mom of two coasties, as an Alaskan, and as an American, Mary will always stand with our servicemembers and veterans and fight to ensure they receive the pay, healthcare, and benefits they’ve earned,” said Alaskans for Mary Campaign Manager Elisa Rios. “While Dan Sullivan has time and time again voted against critical funding for our veterans and servicemembers, Alaskans know that Mary will stand up to anyone to put our servicemembers first.”
The new ad is part of Peltola’s ongoing campaign effort to appeal to Alaska’s large military and veteran population, a key voting bloc in the state. Military installations, including Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson near Anchorage and Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, play a significant role in Alaska’s economy and national defense mission.
Peltola, a lifelong Alaskan and former commercial fishing boat captain, has made support for working families, veterans, and rural communities central themes of her Senate campaign. She is seeking to become Alaska’s next U.S. senator in one of the nation’s most closely watched races in 2026.

MARY PELTOLA: There is nobody more dedicated to our veterans and military families than a military mom.
I know from my sons’ experience that too many of our active-duty military and veterans are struggling.
That’s why I pushed through the largest pay increase for our soldiers in decades. Plus more for VA healthcare, and hundreds of millions for Alaska’s military bases.
I’m Mary Peltola and I approve this message. I’ll continue the fight for Alaska’s military families and veterans.
